The Northville High School volleyball team claimed its first-ever state championship with a 3-1 victory over Rockford, capping a remarkable 41-2 season. Led by senior twins Molly and Mallory Reck and senior setter Ella Craggs, the Mustangs overcame years of near misses to bring the title home to Northville.

Northville Public Schools welcomes Lisa McIntyre, Jena Mabrey, Ron Frazier, and Meredith Riggan Maurer as newly elected members of the Board of Education following a highly engaged November election with significant voter turnout. The district also expresses gratitude to outgoing members Sarah Prescott, Jim Mazurek, and Lindsey Wilson for their dedicated service and contributions.

Northville High School senior Arjun Saini was honored as one of six recipients of the Youth Volunteer of the Year Award at the 2024 Governor’s Service Awards, recognizing his exceptional commitment to community service and leadership. Through his nonprofit, MPower All, Arjun has mobilized over 2,500 volunteers across 30 impactful projects, bridging generations and inspiring youth leadership.

A preschool teacher at Old Village School has earned HighScope Teacher Certification, showcasing her dedication to high-quality early childhood education. This milestone comes as the school fully implements the HighScope curriculum in all preschool classrooms, fostering hands-on, active learning experiences for students.

Northville High School's Science Olympiad team earned an impressive 3rd-place trophy at the Hawk & Hornet Invitational on November 16, competing against 50 teams from Michigan and northern Ohio. With hard work and collaboration across 23 STEM events, the team is now gearing up for their next invitational on December 7 in Northview, Ohio.

Students and staff from Hillside and Meads Mill Middle Schools participated in the Be Nice Symposium at Ford Field, joining over 570 student leaders from across Michigan to promote mental health awareness and advocacy. Through interactive workshops and initiatives like signing a Be Nice pledge banner, they are fostering a supportive school culture that empowers students to notice, invite, challenge, and empower others.

Northville's middle school FTC Robotics team, the Techoraptors #19940, advanced to the State Finals after an impressive performance at their first qualifiers in Bedford, earning the title of Finalist Alliance Partner. Their determination and teamwork shone as they overcame early setbacks to defeat strong opponents and reach the finals.
